By our count, we taped 11 of these Extravaganza Bodybuilder Strength shows between 1987 and 2001, and nine of them are currently in catalogue (we hope to master the '87 and '88 shows for DVD-only in the future. This is the 4th event we now have on DVD (others include WPW 154, 178 and 463) and we will master the others (WPW 223, 240, 263, 313, 359 and 401) for DVD in the future, though all are still available on video. For this 1991 Extravaganza, 14 top women competed, including Drorit Kernes, Raye Hollitt and her sister Tess, Claudia Wagner, Rachel Mathias, Sally McNeil, D'Lynne Miller, Karin Mitchell, Vicki Walker, Cheryl Sillich, Leisa Campbell, Tarus Burns and Tory Masonis. Kim King was one of the top women in the sport from 1989 through about 1992, and we had four different sessions with her during that span – two in top contest shape and two off-season sessions. We shot her in both shapes in 1989 (5’4” and 132 pounds in contest shape and 146 pounds in off-season), with lots of posing in all the outfits both times and some very heavy gymwork off-season. We skipped 1990 with her but did both type sessions again in 1991 when she was ripped at the time of her big win in that year’s Nationals and in luscious off-season shape a month later. Many women of that time were known mainly for great upper bodies, but Kim was one of the few who was known more for her awesome thighs and calves, in fact, fans used to say her legs could “win a men’s local/regional contest”. Each time we had a release for Janet we would say 'sometimes good things come in small packages', as at that time, Janet was one of the smaller women we did work with, usually at 5'2" and around 115-125 pounds. We have two full videos for her (WPW 247 will be released on DVD in the future, but the video is available), and this one features the best footage from four different sessions from 1987, 1988 and 1991, and all but one was in top contest shape. Janet was petite for the time, but did win her class in the Nationals and did turn IFBB pro- she featured very good detail in her upper body, and great calves. No gymwork included, but lots of posing in many bikinis and dresses, including a nice 'camcorder' session with her by a mountain stream for the last session. Sharon and Laura were two of the bright stars on the horizon in the early 90’s – Sharon won the Canadians and North Americans and we did this work with her at her first pro show, the 1992 Ms. International, when she was at her best ever 5’9” 150 pounds. She poses in several outfits in contest shape,k then we had another session with her in off-season shape, when she did some repwork in the gym (though her 4 strict reps with 135 pounds for curls is a very impressive lift), posed in more outfits and was interviewed. Her stage routine and awards at the 1991 North Americans is also included. Although five years younger than Sharon, the 23 year old Laura was every bit Sharon’s equal – Laura won the New Jersey State Championships, then also won the 1992 Junior USA (her routine there is included). The 5’7” 145 pound Laura was in top contest shape for this session and works out in the gym,poses in several outfits and is interviewed. Video/DVD runs 2 ¾ hours.

Sue and Robbie competed in the early 90's, and we got both of them in contest shape and off season in 1992. Sue may have been the best lightweight ever that year, featuring a total state-of-the-art physique look at that year's USA, and she later competed as an IFBB pro. Robbie also looked great both in contest shape and off-season, but she stopped competing soon after this. Both women hit the shots in many swimsuits and dresses and are interviewed. Physique models at its best= national caliber physiques with killer looks, featuring facial beauty and very well groomed hair.  Video/DVD runs 2 3/4 hours.

Someone once said 'good things come in small packages', and that certainly pertains to Laurie and Kelly, but probably only in terms of their height. Both women were photographed/videotaped twice, in contest shape and off season, and at 4'10" (for Laurie) and 4'11" (Kelly) these two women carried as much muscle weight per height as anyone we can remember. Our two sessions with Laurie showed her at a cut 140 pounds contest shape, then 160+ pounds off season, showing off 15" arms and 25" thighs. This New Yorker was 44 years of age at the time of both sessions and her best titles included an overall win at the 1991 AAU USA, then winning her height class at the 1992 AAU America. Kelly was in her late 20's in 1992 (when all the video on this tape was recorded) and checked in at 124 pounds contest shape, then about 140 off season, also with 15" biceps. For this Californian, we have her posing in many outfits and an interview, and same for Laurie, though for the latter we also did gymwork. Both women retired from the stage long ago, though Laurie remained active for a few years as a promoter, running two interesting events, "Awesome Female Celebration" and "Picturing the Modern Amazon", both of which are still available on video and we will transferred to DVD shortly. Donna was a top national competitor from California and Santa Monica competed regionally in the New York and New Jersey area, but both were two more examples of “comets”, who entered the scene with a flair, only to disappear very soon after. We had two sessions with Donna, and one with Santa Monica – all in 1992. For Donna, she is shown in contests shape at 5/2” 125 pounds, then shows off one of the most appealing “off season” looks ever at 145 pounds. She hits the shots in lots of outfits, does some heavy lifting in the gym and is interviewed. For Santa Monica, we have her posing in her bikini and two different dress items – lots of very feminine muscularity and fantastic facial beauty for both women. Video/DVD runs 2 hours.

Diana was one of the most accomplished women in the sport ever, and we did quite a bit of taping with her in the 80's and 90's. This released featured her in top contest shape in 1992, then some off season material in early 1993. Highlights include gymwork, lots of posing in many outfits and interview and for the 1993 session, more posing and an interesting Adagio/lifting workout with Doughdee Marie. We met both women at the 1993 Jan Tana Pro Bodybuilding Championships and each was in top contest shape. We knew of Christa ahead of time and had her session set up in advance. At 5'2" and 132 pounds she was in incredible shape, and many fans considered her to be one of the five or so best women in the world. She had been competing in Germany in the late 80's, then won the 1989 World Games, allowing her to turn pro and to compete at a high level throughout the 90's even though she was well into her 50's at the end of the decade. We met Gabi on the spot, and the 37 year old Hungarian Champ was also in fantastic shape at 5'7" 145 pounds. This was the only time we were able to do work with Gabi, but we have other WPW and Ray Martin videos for Chista and they will be available on DVD in the future. Our original WPW Video-238 featured Rhonda Jorgenson paired with Zuzana Korinkova. Korinkova’s footage from this video is now part of the new WPW Video/DVD #258. To get the best quality on our DVDs , we must hold the footage to under 2 hours, and that is how long Rhonda’s footage was. We did two full sessions with her in 1993 – in top contest shape (at 5’3” and 130 pounds) then in very, very lush off-season shape (150 pounds) – one of the best off-season looks ever on a breathtakingly beautiful woman. For both sessions she posed in bikinis and many great looking dresses, as the 28 year old showed off terrific size and definition at her show (she was in top 5 of the USA that year) and unreal size and shapes (includeing 25” thighs) off-season. WPW has been photographing and taping women bodybuilders since the late 1970’s, and Tina Lockwood might be one of our most popular physique models of all time. WPW had two sessions with her in the mid-90’s (and Ray Martin had one) and all three titles are now available on DVD for the first time. The other two titles are WPW-267 and Ray Martin 21. This video/DVD shows Tina at only 20 years of age (!!!!) during the summer of 1993 and early 1994, and her unreal 5’7” and 170 pound proportions, including 18” calves and 27” thighs, made her an instant fan favorite. Her arms, back and chest were also huge and muscular. The two sessions are included here – posing in four different outfits in 1993, then gymwork (some very heavy, some reps), more posing and her interview in 1994. Outfits include many dresses and swimsuits. Another woman, Kim Walters, was on the original video, but she will be included on another DVD release in the future. DVD runs 100 minutes.
